Kitchens

How long does a kitchen take to fit?

Published guides put a kitchen renovation at around four to ten weeks, but that includes more than the fitting itself.

What the guides say.

  • Checkatrade says a kitchen renovation usually takes four to ten weeks, and up to 10 to 12 weeks for larger projects.
  • Homebuilding says six to eight weeks is more typical, and a simple replacement could take within a month.

Those are general guides, not promises, and they include more than fitting alone. Ours depends on the job, so we'll give you a timescale with your free quote.

Where the time goes.

  • Delivery. Most standard kitchens take two to four weeks, bespoke longer.
  • Moving things. Wires, pipes and walls come first.
  • Worktops. Counters and cabinets can take up to four weeks, according to Checkatrade.
  • Awkward walls. Uneven walls and cut-outs add time.
Will I have a kitchen during the work?
